YÖKDİL is an ÖSYM foreign-language examination used for higher-education-related purposes in Türkiye. This guide explains YÖKDİL fields, question structure and preparation, and clarifies how e-TEP differs as a computer-based English proficiency examination assessing reading, listening, speaking and writing.

The test has 80 multiple-choice questions and 180 minutes. Task families may include vocabulary, grammar, cloze, sentence completion, translation, paragraph work and reading comprehension.
Only correct answers count and incorrect answers do not cancel them. Eighty correct answers correspond to 100, so the target number correct should be based on the required score.
Field knowledge helps recognise terminology and relationships; it is not a licence to answer from outside knowledge. Link every answer to textual evidence.
